Apply to Become a Test Center

Test center approval for new test centers is closed for the 2021–22 school year. You may submit an application to become a test center for the 2022–23 SAT administrations.

Please note the following testing calendars are in effect for the 2022–23 school year:

  • United States: Test centers will test on paper and pencil for the 2022-23 school year
  • International: Test centers will test on paper and pencil for Fall 2022 (August, October, December) and digitally for Spring 2023 (March, May, June)

Apply to open an SAT test center for weekend administrations by completing the form on this page.

Before You Start

To open as a test center, you need a six-digit, Level II College Board school code, or a four-digit College Board school code if you are a higher education institution. If your institution doesn't have one, contact ETS Code Control at codecontrol@ets.org or +1 609-771-7091. The review process for a College Board school code takes about 10 business days.

Alternative Options

  • If your SAT test center was closed for one academic year and you want to reopen, update information, or add a new test coordinator:
Contact Test Administration Services at 800-257-5123 or tas@ets.org.
  • If you want to administer the SAT on a weekday:
See the SAT School Day site.

Application Timing

You can expect to hear whether your application was approved within 4–6 weeks of your application submission date.

Since you responded that your location is an existing SAT test center that has administered the SAT in the past two academic years, please contact Test Administration Services at 800-257-5123 or tas@ets.org to reopen.
