College Board Data Service Questionnaire

The College Board licenses college information collected through the Annual Survey of Colleges for approved research and publishing uses. If you are interested in licensing these data, please complete the questionnaire below. Your responses help us determine the appropriate license agreement and fee structure. Completing and submitting this questionnaire does not guarantee approval of your request.

Important Note on Process & Responsiveness

Accurate points of contact are required to ensure timely review and delivery of data. Lack of responsiveness during the review or contracting process may result in termination of your request. We will make reasonable attempts to move the process forward, including sending up to three follow-up reminders. The third reminder will notify you that, due to lack of communication, we will no longer be pursuing your request. You may resubmit a request once you have the necessary information and contacts to proceed.

Timeline Expectations

Questionnaire review: approximately 6–8 weeks
Contracting and invoicing (if approved): an additional 4–6 weeks

Overview of the Data Licensing Process

Please note that to receive licensed data, the following steps must be completed:

License agreement signed

Contract will be sent and executed via DocuSign
Must be signed by an authorized institutional signatory

Purchase order submitted (Most institutions require procurement involvement—please confirm before submitting.)

Issued by your institution’s Procurement or Finance Department
May be sent directly to the College Board Data Licensing Service team

Invoice issued by College Board

Sent to the billing or procurement contact provided in this form

Payment received
Data delivered (Once delivered, data are available for one-year period)

Delays in completing any of these steps may delay or prevent delivery of the data.

Use of Data

Will your work be published? Fill this section out ONLY if you are requesting data for Publishing Use. Publishing Use is defined as publishing raw data identified by individual institution for use by someone outside of your organization.

Also include information about the expected end-product(s) (ex. service, publication, or research project) that will be created using the data. Please be aware that if you intend to share record-level data with your end-users, you should respond "Yes" tho the "Will your work be published?" question above.
