Score Reports
Once approved as a CLEP score recipient, your institution will begin receiving paper score reports and transcripts. These paper reports provide the information needed for score review but don’t include certain personally identifiable information (PII), such as gender and birthdate.
College Board is moving toward a centralized higher education score portal that will house scores for all College Board programs, including CLEP. In the meantime, Electronic Score Reporting (ESR) is the current free service for CLEP score recipients. ESR provides timely, secure score reports that include PII to support accurate student score matching.
Within one to two weeks of submitting this form, you’ll receive additional information and next steps on the ESR process. Participation in ESR is optional, as College Board looks ahead to a centralized higher education score portal with plans to launch by 2027.
